Happy Holidays

Dear stranger,

Happy new year! Sit back, enjoy a goblet of bubble tea as I tell you how perfect my holiday was in town.

Our Christmas celebration was lovely as we opened our presents, the music of James Taylor played and the video camera captured the moment. I received the most wonderful of all things! The meals my mum and her sister cooked were delicious as they should be and the dancing and the laughing and the singing continued until dawn. We watched A Charlie Brown Christmas Special after that as it is a Christmas tradition to watch it so. After that when we changed into our pyjamas and everybody besides me hit the hay, I stayed up and watched Rebel Without A Cause to spend Christmas with the man I love, while enjoying my own pint of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Gorge Ice Cream. It was delightful.

We spent the New Years Eve by the seaside at the Boardwalk. It was the perfect place for The Bloomfields to play their surf-60's rock-n-roll music and host the countdown. My uncle cooked food we haven't had before, beef stew with peanut butter as the biggest example. He's got his way of cooking food out of anything. We danced to the music. We took pictures. We laughed. It was a good way to start our new year and we hope to have a good year ahead of us.

On my birthday, 5th of January, greetings warmed the cockles of my heart. I got tons of them which I didn't expected and I nearly thought it's going to be a bad birthday for me since I started my day with a stomachache and I wouldn't get to spend with the family but it turned out great. I had an awesome night out with my sisters and their homeboys and we had burgers and pasta at Brothers Burger and cake at Mr. Beans and laughed and told stories and cracked jokes. They also gave me chocolate pies and brownies and ice cream cakes. In the words of Cassie Ainsworth, oh wow, lovely.

New Year demands new resolutions. I was thinking of making a list and finally keeping them this time. I don't have a lot but I thought, since I've been nothing but unproductive over the years, that I should start on a new project. I haven't thought of it yet but it's nice to have something to think about and make a list of things related to it. It might be a blog, or a lookbook, or a story, or a collaboration, or something extraordinary. I hope you had a great New Year Celebration as well! ♥
