Mudpie.

Dear stranger,

Spring is in the air. A perpetual sense of warmth. The burgeoning of cherry blossoms. The frequent bicycle rides to the field. The floral scent of newly laundered sheets. The falling of leaves and the wind in the trees. Too bad we don't experience Spring in the Southeast.

The local version of one of my favorite Korean shows, Autumn In My Heart, is coming and I still cannot accept the fact that someone who doesn't have the character is going to play the lead. I was suppose to audition for the younger lead. She was in middle school, very intelligent and admirable. I know I would've gotten the role, leaving the part that I don't have the skill to ride a bike so smoothly.

I have been making friends. Samantha, this peachy girl from school begged me to sing with her for a very important meeting for this coming elections. Isabel and I have been exchanging e-mails constantly now. She's very nice and it's amazing how we share interest with almost everything!

It's summer here and the heat is getting under our skin. But it still didn't stop us from having the best summer ever. Galbis recently gave me a harmonica, I feel like Bob Dylan. Or Neil Young. Since then I have been listening to a lot of bluegrass music and my dad and I would play The Boxer or A Certain Sadness. He also promised he'd buy me a ukulele after watching Clementine perform on my iPod. My mum, sisters and I have been raiding every flea market and book shops in the city and bought a multitude of summer dresses and yellow paged books (today I bought Go Ask Alice).

Tomorrow my plans are set. Have a lovely breakfast or brunch with my family, watch Annie Hall and(or) Hachiko, read a book, write letters and on my moleskine, daydream and grab an orange popsicle with my friends. Wishing everyone a delightful Spring and a big bowl of watermelons.

Here's a little getting ready for spring to accompany you on your little trips and bike rides.
