Rainy days are upon us! However, this week the sun finally started to shine again. We are planning on sourcing for the perfect vinyl rain boots and silly raincoats for when the weather starts to burst. Also, my friend Isabel from the Netherlands had suggested this for while you are listening to classical music, reading a lovely book and wants rain sound effects in the background.
I am currently reading a book entitled Confetti Girl about a girl, her best friend, cascarones and her bibliophile father. It's pretty interesting and makes you want to know somebody who is a bibliophile. I have been downloading eBooks and audiobooks for my iPod and computer, as well as my sister who had just finished her Winter Girls download. She also had her morning read of Sex, Drugs & Cocoa Puffs today. I'm pretty sure my sister who just started school in the city of fine pine yesterday, is still devouring as much books as she can while listening to, hmmm.. probably Kings Of Convenience or Jens Lekman or Yann Tiersen, on her jammies, Shiri Appleby jacket and Arabian nights socks, licking Skippy peanut butter off her fingers.
School started for me yesterday as well. It was a bummer none of my teachers showed up. But still, I get to see my old friends. Anyway my dad insisted I learn playing harp after seeing someone play on the telly. I wasn't fond of the instrument so I refused and told him to stick to piano and ukulele. He agreed and added I should also learn to play the violin. Of course I couldn't say no to that when he is already planning to buy one. He also promised an oven sooner or later but compromised that I should learn to cook breakfast for myself first.
I say so long to my summer now. But alas! A project I am working on. I was suddenly interested in making one letter per day, or some days at least, for someone, telling them your innermost thoughts. People on Tumblr are really good with these ideas. Also, I am expecting James Dean postcards and a letter written on a vintage stationery from the lovely Isabel on my doorstep. Au revoir.
